Robert Atlee Klotz ’52

Robert Atlee Klotz ’52 passed away on October 20, 2009, the College learned recently. He and his wife, Betty, had retired to Highland Heights, Kentucky, after living for several years in Florida. Bob was born on May 21, 1929, came to Dartmouth from Rochester, New York, after first graduating from the Hill School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. At Dartmouth he was an economics major and a member of Sigma Nu and the varsity track team. Following college Bob served as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Army for four years and then returned home to work for Recordak, a division of Eastman Kodak. He spent 32 years in various assignments and locations with units of Eastman Kodak before retiring in Rochester. For several years in retirement he and his wife operated a gift and accessory business. While working for Kodak in Detroit, Bob earned an M.B.A. at the University of Detroit and, while working in Cincinnati, he met his future wife, Betty, who survives him. He is also survived by daughters Linda, Maureen, Terri and Beckie and son Bradley. His daughter, Barbara, predeceased him in 2013. Bob is buried in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown.
