Edwin Boslay Jarrett ’54

Edwin Boslay Jarrett ’54 passed away on October 27, 2017, in Towson, Maryland. Ned came to Dartmouth from Baltimore, where he attended Gilman Country School. At Dartmouth he majored in English and was a brother of Psi Upsilon. Ned was commissioned and served in the Air Force at Andrews Air Force Base until his discharge in 1956. After discharge he worked in the insurance industry, eventually founding Ford, DeShields, Jarrett and Barnes, a Towson insurance brokerage that eventually was renamed Cross Keys Insurance Inc. Ned served as chairman and CEO until his retirement in 1997. He was an avid player of golf and a member of the Green Spring Valley Hunt Club. He enjoyed duck hunting and collecting antique decoys. Ned’s wife, Evelyn, predeceased him. He is survived by sons Edwin III and Daniel.
