Alexander “Xander” Harrison ’02
Alexander “Xander” Harrison ’02 passed away unexpectedly on June 17, 2016. Xander was a unique and charismatic individual, and his passing is a great loss for his friends and family. He was raised in Fairfield, Connecticut, and graduated from Greens Farms Academy as salutatorian. At Dartmouth he majored in history and was a member of Psi Upsilon. After graduation he worked in private equity at Summit Partners in Boston, then Sequoia Capital in Silicon Valley, California, and most recently, Princeton Ventures in Princeton, New Jersey, for the past several years. His classmates remember him for his wit, optimism and enthusiasm for life. Xander loved bow ties, proper grammar and friendly debate. He was a devoted libertarian and a talented and creative artist. He was a dedicated disciple to weightlifting. He had a great affection for animals. His favorite season was fall (because of the changing leaves) and his favorite color was orange. He drove like a maniac and got a kick out of making people uncomfortable—with a smile, of course. He was exceptionally devoted to his family, and to be his friend was to share in his joy for life. Many classmates shared memories at his family’s memorial website, memorialwebsites.legacy.com/Alexander_Harrison/homepage.aspx.
