Allen E. Odell ’51,

Allen E. Odell ’51, known as “Ev” in his undergraduate years, died on August 8, 2017, in Granite Bay, California. His wife, Camille, predeceased him. He is survived by five children and nine grandchildren. Ev was a sociology major at Dartmouth and a member of Zeta Psi. After four years as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, he went back to school at Oklahoma City University to study accounting. He spent his professional life as an accountant and auditor, first with Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. in Oklahoma and later with Montgomery Ward in California. He retired in 1989. Ev was an active volunteer wherever he went. He was a contributor to the Redding, California, Christian Fellowship and a regular volunteer at the Good News Rescue Mission. He also loved boating, woodworking and exploring the outdoors.
