Hello, ’17s! This is Michael Baicker, writing in for the first time as your newest class secretary. I want to give a big shoutout to our outgoing secretary Eric Chen, who has been dutifully updating us on everyone’s lives for the past few years. Thank you, Eric!

And now, onto some updates.

Congratulations to Mary Sieredzinski on her engagement! Anyone who knows Mary won’t be surprised to learn that she met her partner Ben in New York when she walked up to him at a parade and asked, “What’s the move?” In Ben’s words, “I had absolutely no idea what the move was but I knew my next one would be with her.” Aww. Mary and Ben live together in Denver and are eagerly planning a 2026 wedding.

Torri Lee is making a big move to Nashville this summer after matching into an otolaryngology (ENT) residency program at Vanderbilt University! Torri is excited to experience warmth for the first time in five years, having moved back to the Upper Valley while she attended Geisel. Husband and amateur guitarist Tyler Kelsall is also reported to be excited to live in Music City.

Chris DiPreta recently acquired Art Installation Design, a 40-year-old fine art logistics company in New York City that moves, installs, and stores artwork for clients like the Met, Neue Galerie, and major collectors. His team installed Gustav Klimt’s Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I at the Neue Galerie (at the time the most expensive painting ever sold!). Since taking over Chris has been working to modernize the business—bringing a boutique, tech-forward approach to an industry that’s largely stayed behind the scenes. It’s been a unique challenge in the extremely exciting world of art. (Read more about him on page 53.)

In some personal news, my wife, Molly Ryan, and I recently bought a house in Golden, Colorado! After moving to Denver in 2023, we’re excited to have some more permanent roots in the area. It’s been so fun spending time with fellow Denver-area ’17s, including Evan Schlick, Miranda Lawson, Mary Sieredzinski, Joanna Millstein, and Ravynn Nothstine. Give us a shout any time you’re passing through the state!

I can’t wait to connect with new and old faces as I try my best to keep us updated on all the amazing things our class has been up to. If you’d like to share something you’ve been up to—a new job, a move, a wedding—please shoot me a note at michael.baicker@gmail.com and I’ll make sure to get it out!
