Paul B. “Peter” Hartley II ’62

Paul B. “Peter” Hartley II ’62 passed away on February 18 following lumbar surgery for severe spinal stenosis. He made his home in Houston. Peter was born in Jacksonville, Illinois, the son of Dr. Paul and Marta Hartley. He came to Dartmouth from Jacksonville High School. Although he went on to graduate from Knox College, he proudly retained his connection to his class and Dartmouth. He was employed by Exxon Chemical Co. for 32 years as a financial analyst. Peter leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Carolyn, son Graham and granddaughter Avery. Peter was known as a kind and gentle man who loved with all his heart.
