Brian Hartley Phillips ’49

Brian Hartley Phillips ’49 died on October 18, 2016, at his home in Kennebunkport, Maine. Brian came to Dartmouth after receiving a B.S. from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York, and then serving in the Navy during the war. Brian spent 25 years near Toronto running Ford and GM dealerships, and then returned to Kennebunkport, which he knew since childhood. He was active in small businesses and civic affairs and played tennis and golf. He is survived by his wife, Doris (“Dodie”), and children Scott ’74, Christopher, Tracy and Wendy.
