Lawrence Kepnes ’48

Lawrence Kepnes ’48, born on December 9, 1925, and living in Swampscott, Massachusetts, died November 18, 2016. Larry went to Hebron (Maine) Academy, was a member of the Navy V-12 program at Dartmouth, served in World War II and returned to graduate from the College, where he was a member of Pi Lambda Phi. He was married for 41 years to Marion, and previously to Janet (who predeceased him). He was an avid New England sports fan with a special love of the Red Sox and Patriots, named by his suggestion in 1960. He was a loyal supporter at sporting events in which his family members, especially his grandchildren participated. He is survived by children Jenine, Steven, Susan, Maxine, Jay and Lisa and their families.
