Jeremy C. Lindsay ’51

Jeremy C. Lindsay ’51 died in Bellevue, Washington, on January 8 after a long illness. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Madeline, three children and two grandchildren. Jerry grew up in Boston and attended Kimball Union Academy before enrolling in Dartmouth. As an undergraduate he majored in history and was a member of Phi Gamma Delta and the Press Club. Soon after graduation Jerry and Madeline moved to the Pacific Northwest, where he pursued two careers. He was the owner of supermarkets for 30 years, then became a registered representative with Freeman Welwood, a discount brokerage firm, until his retirement. Sports were a lifelong love. Jerry closely followed professional teams in every sport from both Boston and Seattle. He enjoyed playing golf for most of his adult life. He and Madeline were also enthusiastic travelers. In his community Jerry was a volunteer with the Kiwanis Club and served as its president.
