Glenn Allen Wesselmann ’54
Glenn Allen Wesselmann ’54 passed away on January 27 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Glenn came to Dartmouth from Shaker Heights, Ohio, where he attended Shaker Heights High School. At Dartmouth he was a sociology major, a brother of Sigma Phi Epsilon and a member of the Interfraternity Council. After service in the Army Glenn received his M.B.A. in 1959 from Cornell University, concentrating on hospital administration. After obtaining his M.B.A. he returned to Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, where he had previously served an internship. In 1968 he was promoted to vice president for administration. After spending some 20 years at Memorial Sloan Kettering, Glenn moved to Grosse Point, Michigan, where he ultimately became president and CEO of Saint John Health System. In the summer of 1995 he retired and moved to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. He was a member of the board of the Savannah Symphony and was involved with Habitat for Humanity. Glenn is survived by his wife, Genevieve, and children Debbie ’81, Janet and Scott.
