Sklar (profiled in our March/April 2017 issue) fondly recalls the day when Robert Frost, class of 1896, came to Webster Hall to address the freshman class. “I remember seeing this little man standing behind the lectern, and all you could see was his white hair. The minute he opened his mouth and started talking, he became 10 feet tall,” says Sklar. “My favorite poem was ‘Fire and Ice’—he just belted that out like an opera singer. I loved it.”
