Anthony Pell ’57

Anthony Pell ’57 passed away in Rhineback, New York, in November 2015. Tony grew up in New York City and came to Dartmouth from the Horace Mann School in 1953.At Dartmouth he majored in French and was a member of the staff of The Dartmouth, Dartmouth Players, Handel Society, Film Society, Cosmopolitan Club and Madrigal Singers. While at Dartmouth Tony was known as C. Anthony Appel-Segal; he legally changed his name to Anthony Pell later. At the time of his 25th reunion Tony worked for CBS News in Paris; at the time of his 50th he worked in financial services. He was active in Dartmouth’s national research development program and on his class listserv. Tony is survived by children Susan and Victor. His wife, Kate, died shortly after Tony in 2015.
