Gerard Joseph Slattery ’47

Gerard Joseph Slattery ’47 of Pompton Plains, New Jersey, died March 8, 2015. He was born March 15, 1925, grew up in Brooklyn and entered college in the Marine Corps V-12 program. He majored in history and joined Sigma Alpha Epsilon. During WW II he served in the Marine Corps. He was employed by Bell Systems and Western Electric, where he rose to become manager. He enjoyed playing golf and bowling. A great joy in his life was his three children, Diane, Jane and Kathleen, who survive, along with son-in-law Peter Garranbone, Tu’79.
