Edwin Lydall Quinn ’54

Edwin Lydall Quinn ’54 passed away on October 7, 2016, in Easthampton, Connecticut. Ed came to Dartmouth from Manchester, Connecticut, where he attended Manchester High School. At Dartmouth he was a Rufus Choate Scholar and graduated with a master’s in engineering from Thayer. After graduation Ed served in the Army as an officer for two years. After discharge he worked at Westinghouse for two years and then worked as an engineer for more than 30 years at Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, Connecticut. He was active in the East Hampton, Connecticut, government, serving on the town planning board and the Conservation Preservation Act committee. Ed was predeceased by his wife, Suzanne, and is survived by children Sarah, Edwin Jr., John and Hugh.
