Pathologist John Barlow ’55, M.D., of Rapid City, South Dakota, has been inducted into the South Dakota Hall of Fame. He was cited for his work in establishing the Sioux Falls Community Blood Bank and developing Sioux Valley Hospital. 

Donald Bergman ’67, M.D., has been named president of the American College of Endocrinology Foundation, which provides financial support for the American College of Endocrinology’s patient and health professional education programs. Bergman specializes in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.

Ross McKinney Jr. ’75, M.D., has been named chief scientific officer of the Association of American Medical Colleges, responsible for leading programs that support medical research and training. He was most recently the director of the Trent Center for Bioethics, Humanities & History of Medicine and a pediatric infectious diseases professor at Duke University Medical Center. 

Tricia Paik ’91, most recently the curator of contemporary art at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, has been named director of the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum. Paik will direct daily operations, oversee acquisitions and increase faculty involvement with the museum’s teaching program.

Dominic Engels ’94, president of pomegranate juice company Pom Wonderful, is switching beverages to become CEO of Stone Brewing in Escondido, California, the ninth largest craft brewery in the country.

Lauren Day ’99, Adv’00, the head of business communications at Prudential, has been named to PR Week’s “40 Under 40” list. The Jersey City, New Jersey, resident was lauded for her work as director of strategic communications for AIG in 2008, when she was a “critical orchestrator” of efforts to resolve the insurance giant’s crises.

Kim Rockers ’01 has been named CEO of Milestones Day School & Transitions Program, a therapeutic day school in Waltham, Massachusetts, that serves students ages 7 to 22 with special educational needs. Rockers joined the school in 2003 as a co-director, responsible for designing the program and initiating student enrollment.

Chad Butt ’04 has been elected to the national advisory council for Mentor: The National Mentoring Partnership, a collection of more than 25 state and regional mentoring programs. Butt is the executive director of Mobius, the Burlington, Vermont-based Mentor affiliate.
