Craig Randall Triplett ’76

Craig Randall Triplett ’76 passed away on March 29 as a result of severe spinal cord injuries sustained eight years ago in a bicycle accident that left him a paraplegic. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Craig quickly became immersed in College life when he arrived at Dartmouth. He was an active member of the Afro-American Society, Black Underground Theater and the Dartmouth Outing Club and a recipient of a Tucker Fellowship. He continued his lifelong commitment to Dartmouth as evidenced by his election to the Alumni Council (1991-95) and Alumni Council nominating and alumni trustee committee (1991-95) and as a member and later a two-term president of Black Alumni of Dartmouth Association, which honored Craig in 1997 with its Edward Mitchell 1828 award for outstanding, continuous and meritorious service to the College. Craig was elected president of the Dartmouth Club of Georgia in 2000 and also served as a prospective student alumni interviewer for more than 20 years. He received an M.B.A. from Harvard, where he was also an active alumnus. Most recently he cofounded the LeROI Group, an Atlanta-based executive search and career services firm. He also held executive positions at Korn Ferry and several major U.S. corporations. Craig is survived by daughters Aleshea and Camryn, whom he called “the lights and loves of my life.” His parents and wife Leslie predeceased him.
