Richard Theodore Bueschel Jr. ’55

Richard Theodore Bueschel Jr. ’55 passed away March 24 in Vero Beach, Florida. A native of Plainfield, New Jersey, Dick came to Dartmouth from Plainfield High School. He majored in history and participated in debates for the Dartmouth Forensic Union. Dick competed in intramural athletics and was a member of Phi Tau/Phi Sigma Kappa. After graduation Dick became an Air Force jet pilot and a member of the Research and Development Command. He left the Air Force as a captain in 1960 and joined Honeywell in data processing management. While working in Boston Dick earned an M.B.A. from Northeastern University and an M.S. in computer science from M.I.T. In 1986 he returned to Hanover to cofound Time Share, a pioneering computer company, and Computer Environments Corp., an education service provider. Dick is survived by his wife, Mildred, a native of Hanover, and children Susan and Thomas. Dick was an Alumni Fund volunteer and class agent (1985-87).
