Lee Wilfred Huff ’54

Lee Wilfred Huff ’54 passed away on November 14, 2015, in Leesburg, Virginia. Lee came to Dartmouth from Detroit and attended Highland Park High School. At Dartmouth he was a brother of Phi Gamma Delta and majored in public administration. He was a Rufus Choate scholar and a Class of 1926 fellow. Lee was also a member of the Glee Club and the Athletic Council. After graduation he attended Harvard and the London School of Economics, obtaining an M.P.A in 1956 and a Ph.D. in 1963. Lee lived for a number of years in Thailand, serving in advisory capacities to the Thai government. He then spent 17 years in federal service in the departments of defense, state and transportation, including work in the outer space program, overseas economic development and behavioral sciences and directing the policy planning staff of the secretary of transportation. After leaving government service he became vice president of a Washington, D.C.-based consulting firm that specialized in antitrust and economic regulation, retiring in 1992. Lee is survived by his wife, Marasri, and daughter Susan.
