William Brooks Rogers ’54
William Brooks Rogers ’54 passed away on December 21, 2014, in New York City. Bill came to Dartmouth from Portland, Maine ,where he attended Deering High School. At Dartmouth he was a brother of Chi Phi and active at WDBS and the Players. He is best remembered for his role as Doc in Mr. Roberts. After two years in the service he went on to a career in radio and the theater. He played on Broadway in The Great White Hope and was featured at the New York Shakespeare Festival, Circle in the Square and Manhattan Theatre Club. On television he had roles in Law & Order and The Edge of Night. Bill had the lead role as Ratcliff in the world premiere of Democracy. In later years he concentrated on voice-overs for television. Bill never married and is survived by brother John.
