Charles Hollis Cory II ’52

Charles Hollis Cory II ’52 passed away peacefully on February 28, 2015, at the Clare nursing home in Chicago. He was born March 12, 1930, in Lima, Ohio, and prepared for college at Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio. He graduated from Dartmouth, majoring in economics, and was a member of Phi Delta Theta, the Vigilantes and Green Key Society. He received a law degree from the University of Michigan and then served in the U.S. Army. He joined the Northern Trust Bank after the service and retired after 35 years as a dedicated vice president. His passion for sports and college football led him to become treasurer and president of the University of Michigan Chicago alumni association. He is survived by his wife, Judith; children Chip (and wife Deirdre), David and Susan; two stepchildren; nine grandchildren; and twin brother Frank ’52.
