Justine Robinson Raphael ’83

Justine Robinson Raphael ’83 died peacefully on November 2, 2014. She was surrounded by her family at the time of her death in Port Angeles, Washington. Justine was born in New York City and lived there and in Miami as a child. While at Dartmouth Justine was a member of Alpha Theta and majored in religion. She also spent a semester in France as part of the language study abroad program. Following graduation she had a variety of careers: schoolteacher, baker, midwife, nutritionist, artist and homemaker. She received a master’s in health and nutrition from Hawthorn University in 2012. Justine lived with her family aboard the boat Whalesong and loved to cook, write and work in her art studio. Justine is survived by nine children: son Ian ’18, daughters Hannah, Eli ’13, Abbey Rose and Sammy, as well as stepchildren Toby, Robin, Sofia and Aiden. She is also survived by her husband, Rick, brothers Christopher and Jordan ’85 and sister Vanessa.
