Fred R. Williamson III ’75
Fred R. Williamson III ’75 passed away at the Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on August 7, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. Fred was a couple of years older than most of our fellow classmates, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps before attending Dartmouth. Some may remember a big personality riding a motorcycle and wearing a Marine Corps jacket. He made regular appearances at Beta Theta Pi and was a very amiable character. After Dartmouth Fred lived in Aspen, Colorado, where he was a member of a volunteer ambulance corps. For many years he ran the building division of the family business, Williamsons Inc. For the past seven years he was a project manager with Hemingway Custom Cabinetry in Bridgeport. Fred is survived by his mother, longtime partner Janie Dunn, four brothers and two sisters. Donations in Fred’s name may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
