Richard Warren Eaton ’54

Richard Warren Eaton ’54 passed away on October 6, 2014, in Hyannis, Massachusetts. Dick came to Dartmouth from Needham, Massachusetts, where he attended Needham High School. At Dartmouth he was a brother of Gamma Delta Chi and a history major. After graduation Dick joined Eaton Funeral Home, a family business in Needham, as a funeral director. In 1969 he joined E.F. Hutton as an account executive and in 1976 he became a regional insurance director. Dick was elected a vice president of E.F. Hutton in 1978 and became a financial management advisor. He eventually left E.F. Hutton to become an independent advisor at Advantage Capital until his retirement in 1999. Dick is survived by his wife, Nancy Lee, whom he married on the Saturday after his Dartmouth graduation, and children William, Richard, Gary and Janice.
