William Arthur Grover ’54

William Arthur Grover ’54 passed away on August 12, 2014. Bill came to Dartmouth from Danvers, Massachusetts. He graduated from Holten High School and attended Lynn Burdette College in Lynn, Massachusetts, before attending Dartmouth. At Dartmouth he was a brother of Zeta Psi, majored in economics and was a member of the Glee Club and Dartmouth Christian Union. He earned his M.B.A. from Penn’s Wharton School of Finance and served in the U.S. Air Force and then served as a lieutenant colonel, performing many duties in support of the active forces at Hanscom Air Force base outside of Boston. Bill worked as an accountant with several large and small Boston area industrial and service companies. After retiring in 1995 he went to a professional tour school and became a specialty tour guide, covering the Boston area. His passion for dancing and tourism led him to sea as a dance host on cruise ships. Bill was involved in ’54 activities and for many years served on the class executive committee. He is survived by his daughter, Malene, and his son, Jonathan.
