Robert Kohler Staz ’57

Robert Kohler Staz ’57 died April 22, 2014, at Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, near where he lived most of his life. He graduated as salutatorian at Camp Hill High School. He was a Navy ROTC student at Dartmouth, where he was a member of Alpha Theta and Theta Chi. He also attended the University of Pennsylvania Law School. For the past 30 years Bob was co-owner and president of Brookfield Farms Dairy in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He was also co-owner of Brookwood Spring Water. He was active in Camp Hill Presbyterian Church and held numerous church leadership positions. Bob grew up across the street from the West Shore Country Club, where he was a long-time member and enjoyed playing golf and tennis with his family and friends. Bob was active in alumni affairs as a job development-career advisor and he served as a club officer and past president of the regional Dartmouth club. Bob was a past president of the Harrisburg Kiwanis Club and a member of the Trindle Parkinson’s Support Group, the Tri-County Blind Association and several other business and professional organizations. Bob had Parkinson’s disease for many years but attended our 50th class reunion in a wheelchair. He is survived by his wife, three sons, including Douglas ’88, his former wife, a brother and one grandson.
