David Gerald Stahl ’47

David Gerald Stahl ’47, D.M.D., died on October 20, 2013, in Manchester, New Hampshire, where he grew up and attended Manchester Central High School. In college he majored in chemistry-zoology, played in the band and the symphony orchestra and was managing editor of the Dartmouth Log. From 1944 to 1945 he served in the Navy. He graduated from Tufts University Dental School with a D.M.D. in 1951. He joined his father’s dental firm in Manchester, where he practiced for 50 years. He was a fellow in the American College of Dentists and taught part-time at Boston University as an assistant professor of stomatology. He was a member of the New Hampshire and Manchester dental societies. As a volunteer in the community, he was a member and past president of the Temple Adath Yeshurun and a past president of the Jewish Federation. He was also active in the New Hampshire Symphony, the Manchester Historic Association, the New Hampshire Historical Society, the Currier Museum of Art, the World Affairs Council of New Hampshire and the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years and is survived by four children.
