Steven Norman Schwartz ’67

Steven Norman Schwartz ’67 of Coronado, California, died September 27, 2012. Steve came to the College from Northwood High School of Silver Spring, Maryland. Steve majored in government and was a brother of Alpha Theta, a member of Casque & Gauntlet and Palaeopitus, president of the Interdormitory Council, a senior fellow and a Phi Beta Kappa and graduated magna cum laude. He received a scholarship, earned a J.D. from Yale Law School in 1970 and went to San Diego to join the law firm Defenders Inc. In 1973 he formed the partnership of Brav and Schwartz, with whom he was associated for almost 40 years. Golf was a favorite distraction; he maintained a low, single-digit handicap. Steve was respected for his intellect and integrity. Steve is survived by his wife, Deborah, son Adam, Adv’02, and daughter Jennifer.
