Hugh Travers Nolin ’54

Hugh Travers Nolin ’54 passed away on October 12, 2013, in Neenah, Wisconsin. Hugh came to Dartmouth from Skaneateles (New York) High School. At Dartmouth he was a brother of Chi Phi and an economics major. He was a member of the Yacht Club and Navy ROTC. Following graduation Hugh was commissioned as an ensign in the Navy and attended flight school in Pensacola, Florida. He retired from the Navy in 1956 after a serious accident, and went to work for Reigel Paper Corp. In 1969 he moved to Neenah, where he worked for Kimberly Clark until he retired in 1999. A lifelong sailor, Hugh sailed with the Pequot Yacht Club in Southport, Connecticut, and the Neenah-Nodaway Yacht Club on Lake Winnebago. He is survived by his wife, Debby, and daughters Elizabeth, Anne and Sarah.
