From Veronica Jenkins: “I am writing to make you aware of Karen (Bradley) Anderson and her accomplishments in Alabama regarding the significant increase in math scores for the state. Several news outlets, including NPR, featured Karen (the head of the Alabama Office of Math Improvement) and others outlining what efforts were put into place to accomplish this feat. For details search “NPR Alabama Math” or reach out to Karen at karenanderson1008@gmail.com.”

From Rebecca Osborne: “Cynthia Davis was the featured presenter for a recent session hosted by Women of Dartmouth Thrive group on eldercare, Cindy’s area of specialty.”

From LinkedIn about Shelley Nadel: Shelley was named one of 2025’s “Most Visionary Financial Leaders”; search her profile for the article. (While not mentioned in the article, I’m sure Shelley attributes her success to her experience as a class secretary.)

From the class of 1985 homepage: “Joe Koniszewski, 62, of Peckville [Pennsylvania], died peacefully after a long battle with pancreatic cancer on January 30 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, the former Anne Mary Yanni, and his three children, Joseph, Julia, and Alissa. Joe’s family was the most important thing in life to him, and he will miss them dearly. He couldn’t thank God enough for his three wonderful children and couldn’t be prouder of them. Born in Scranton [Pennsylvania], Joe was the son of the late John and Theresa Koniszewski and a member of the 1975 Carbino Club Little League All-Star team that was one game from reaching the Little League World Series in Williamsport [Pennsylvania]. The Pennsylvania State champions lost to the eventual World Series champions of Lakewood, New Jersey, in the U.S. regional final. Joe attended Valley View School District and was senior class president, valedictorian, and multiple sport athlete. He graduated from Dartmouth with an A.B. in economics. He was a member of Theta Delta Chi, a three-year football letterman, and in the Dragon Senior Honor Society. He graduated from the University of Scranton with an M.B.A. in finance.”

From Barry Bass: “Interested in joining Dartmouth’s Bartlett Tower Society to create a lasting impact on the College’s future? By including Dartmouth in your estate plans—with a gift of any size—you become part of a special community committed to strengthening the College for generations to come. You can direct your gift to the area that means the most to you, ensuring your legacy reflects your priorities.” If you’d like more information, contact Barry at bbass1985@gmail.com.

From me: For a refreshing beverage, try some soursop/guanabana mixed with club soda. Happy summer!
