Maurice Amos Warner Jr. ’41

Maurice Amos Warner Jr. ’41 of Bloomington, Minnesota, passed away on March 8. At Dartmouth “Bo” was a member of Sigma Nu. In World War II he served for four years as an Army officer, seeing action in New Guinea and the Philippines. He married Marjorie Farnquist in 1946. They had four children, two sons and two daughters. Bo worked in the insurance business for 38 years. For 23 of them he ran his own agency. Following Marjorie’s demise, he remarried in 1971 and shared his next 42 years with Marlene. Retiring in 1978, he and Marlene traveled the world and spent 10 years in Bozeman, Montana, where Bo continued to pursue his lifelong love of hunting and fishing. He was an avid sportsman and an accomplished athlete. He was involved in his church, where he taught Sunday school and served as a deacon. Winters were spent at their home on Anna Maria Island, Florida. Bo is survived by Marlene; her daughter Pam; his children Greg, Mark, Mary and Nancy; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
