John Allen Rocray ’55

John Allen Rocray ’55, a respected lawyer, died on August 18, 2012, at home in Brattleboro, Vermont. He was a graduate of Winchester (Massachusetts) High School, Hebron Academy and after Dartmouth earned a law degree from Cornell. Always interested in theater, John was a member of the Dartmouth Players and continued throughout his life to support local art programs. During his distinguished 55-year career as an attorney John served as state’s attorney for Windham County for 12 years and maintained his own law firm. He is survived by his former wife, Barbara, daughter Polly and brothers Sam ’57 and Peter. A memorial service was held September 23, 2012.
