Henry “Sandy” Crumbliss Jr. ’57

Henry “Sandy” Crumbliss Jr. ’57 passed away on June 7, 2009, in Lookout Mountain, Tennessee. After graduating from Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Sandy came to Dartmouth from Lookout Mountain. While in Hanover he majored in economics, joined Delta Tau Delta and participated in NROTC. Sandy then went to work for his father, Henry, at Henry Crumbliss Yarns Inc., which was founded in 1932. He rose to the position of president and was joined in the business by his two sons. Sandy was survived by his wife, Elizabeth, children Clay, Bruce and Helen and six grandchildren.
