Joseph LeRoy Jordan ’47
Joseph LeRoy Jordan ’47 died on January 12 in Dallas. He grew up in Newcastle, Pennsylvania, and joined the class in the naval V-12 unit. He majored in government, joined Sigma Nu and served on the Interdormitory Council. After naval service he joined the Terex division of General Electric in Hudson, Ohio, where he rose to become regional manager. In 1979 he founded J.L. Jordan Associates, which was involved in executive searches for equipment-marketing firms. He sold the business in 1989 but remained as a consultant until 1995. In retirement he moved to Texas. He was interested in tennis, fly fishing and travel. In Dallas he served on the board of the homeowners’ association, acting as newsletter editor. He is survived by his wife and two children.
