John Arnold Hartwig ’49
John Arnold Hartwig ’49, M.D., died on November 14, 2011, in Minneapolis, where he lived. Jack grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and came to Dartmouth from St. John’s Military Academy in Delafield, Wisconsin. He graduated from Dartmouth Medical School in 1950, interned at Dartmouth after finishing his medical education at the University of Minnesota and specialized in treating cervical spine injuries. Jack is survived by his wife, Mary, and children David, Ann, Paul, Martha and Steven ’88.
