Frank Wiley Edmands ’45
Frank Wiley Edmands ’45, formerly of Manchester and Sunapee, New Hampshire, died peacefully November 5, 2011, at home after a brief illness. Frank came to Dartmouth from Holten High in Danvers, Massachusetts. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps, was commissioned as a second lieutenant after pilot training. He returned to Hanover and graduated in 1946. He then managed his family’s trucking business in Danvers for 23 years before moving to New Hampshire in 1969. He was president of Edmunds Terminals Inc. in terminal and distribution operations of rock salt for highway ice control in Manchester. In 1946 he married Nancy Moulton. They had two daughters, Marcia and Janet, who survive him with four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Frank was an avid golfer, skier and boater and past president of Mount Sunapee Ski Club. He served Dartmouth as club secretary, reunion giving committee, class agent and leadership chair.
