Richard S. Repko ’48

Richard S. Repko ’48 died on September 17, 2011, at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina. Dick was born in Yokohama, Japan, and came to Dartmouth from the New Rochelle, New York, high school. He took his A.B. in sociology, was active in Cabin & Trail and joined Zeta Psi. He went on to earn an M.B.A. from Columbia in 1950, followed by a distinguished 35-year career in marketing and general management with the Caltex Oil Co. He worked throughout the Far East and Africa, retiring to Wilmington in 1969. He enjoyed golf, biking and gardening and was a consultant for SCORE and an instructor for SeniorNet, which provides computer and Internet education for older adults. Dick is survived by his wife of 58 years, Arlene, daughters Kelly and Pam, twin sons Sean and Mark and nine grandchildren.
