Willard Woodward Wilson ’41
Willard Woodward Wilson ’41 died on July 3, 2010, at Peterborough Regional Health Center in Ontario, Canada. Bill took his first two years of medical school at Dartmouth’s two-year program and then finished his last two years at McGill University in Montreal. Bill’s long Canadian medical career included serving as a 1950s-era family physician in Brighton, Ontario. He then went on to serve as chief of staff and chief of anesthesia in Toronto. He married Dorothy Wood (deceased in 2000), with whom he raised four children. They presented him with five grandchildren. He had a deep passion for farming and gardening, his major hobbies, along with golf. “Dr. Bill” was deeply appreciated by patients, family and friends for fulfilling all of his responsibilities so diligently and for the pleasure he took in sharing his harvests with them.
