Clifford R. Feakes ’54


Clifford R. Feakes ’54 passed away on December 25, 2010. Originally from Rahway, New Jersey, Cliff entered Dartmouth from Highland Park (New Jersey) High School. An economics major, he engaged in a variety of campus activities: Aegis, Glee Club, Gamma Delta Chi and sailing with Corinthian Yacht Club. After graduation Cliff worked as a buyer for a retail department store’s group and later was the proprietor of a better women’s store. In 1970 he and wife Barbara bought a farm in Lanesboro, Massachusetts, where they managed a B&B and raised sheep and dogs. Cliff was a supporter of the New Brunswick Theological Seminary and the Berkshire Choral Festival in Sheffield, Massachusetts. He is survived by Barbara, three children and three stepchildren.
