David Alexander Templeton ’63

David Alexander Templeton ’63 died February 10. David spent most of his adult life in England and returned to the United States in 2003 to retire in Evergreen, Colorado. Shortly thereafter he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. A native of Grosse Point, Michigan, David was a member of Bones Gate/Delta Tau Delta. He earned an M.B.A. from Columbia and did military service in Asmara, Ethiopia. David worked in international finance for several major corporations. He founded and operated a business for many years in England with his wife, Jane. David is described by the Canyon (Colorado) Courier as “a gentle, gracious man with a deplorable sense of humor, devoted to terrible puns, as an honorable and loyal friend, an avid golfer, bridge player chess addict, hiker, upright skier, teaser of young children, incredible teacher, dog lover and, for 45 years, the best friend of Jane.” He is survived by Jane, daughter Alexis, son Joshua, stepson David and six grandchildren. Contributions in David’s memory may be made to the Colorado Alzheimer’s Association.
