Mordecai Shepard Jackson ’55


Mordecai Shepard Jackson ’55 died January 5, 2010. He attended Classical High School in Worcester, Massachusetts, prior to Dartmouth. Shep majored in mathematics and was an active member in the DOC. After graduation he spent two years in the Army on leave from IBM, a company where he was employed for 35 years. In his later years he became interested in human relations, starting a company named Resolution Resources in 1990, soon after retiring from IBM. In 1993 he founded and directed Men’s International Peace Exchange, a company aimed at solutions to internal strife in companies and individuals. In 2004 he received an M.A. in strategic leadership from Neumann College. Always active in his religion, Mordecai was president of the Vasser Temple and served on its board for many years. He served as class agent and was president of the Mid-Hudson Dartmouth Club 1971 to 1974. He also served on the executive committee for the Dartmouth Alumni Association. He is survived by a daughter, a son, three grandchildren and a sister.
