James Albert Donmoyer ’52

James Albert Donmoyer ’52 of Allentown, Pennsylvania, died December 20, 2010, in Lehigh Valley Hospital in Salisbury, Pennsylvania. He was born in Allentown and graduated from Allentown High School, class of 1948. He received a B.A. in English from Dartmouth in 1952 and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. After college Jim had a successful career in the home hardware industry. He was a vice president of sales for Moen Faucet in Elyria, Ohio, for 15 years, retiring in 1992. Prior to that he was a sales manager at Norelco-Philips Lighting for eight years and Westinghouse lamp division for 12 years. These responsibilities took him to numerous locations, but he retired back to Allentown. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Allentown, where he formerly served as an usher. Baseball and coaching were lifelong loves. He coached Emmaus (Pennsylvania) High School JV baseball in the early 1990s and was the former director of Little League baseball in Bay Village, Ohio. He was an avid fan of the Brooklyn and L.A. Dodgers, often attending spring training in Vero Beach, Florida. He is survived by Dayle, his wife of 47 years; children Timothy ’87 and Patricia; brothers Theodore and John; and grandchildren Caitlyn and Hailey.
