Donald Holman Stillman ’41

Donald Holman Stillman ’41 died in Longwood, Florida, on October 29, 2010, after a long struggle with spinal stenosis and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s disease). At Dartmouth he was a Tuck School graduate (1942); member of the Glee Club, Alpha Delta Phi and Casque & Gauntlet; and played varsity lacrosse. He served as a lieutenant in the Navy from 1942 to 1946, participating in several campaigns including Normandy Beach. His business career was as a leader of major corporations in the field of cosmetics and toiletries, including Revlon and Carom. As a devoted Dartmouth alumnus he served as class secretary (1946-51), reunion committees of 1991 and 2001, class agent (1988-92; 1995-2002) class executive committee (1991), class president (1991-2001) and class gift planning chair (2006-10). In 1943 he married Patricia Robillard, who survives along with their children Alicia and Donald Jr.
