Robert Clyde Kolbe ’34

Robert Clyde Kolbe ’34 died on June 3, 2010, in Denver, where he lived. He leaves his wife, Nona, and sons Tom and Harold, their wives and two granddaughters. After graduating from Dartmouth and taking graduate courses on finance at New York University, he joined the family textile business. During World War II he served in India with the Army Air Corps from 1942 until he returned to his family’s business in 1946. His family was his whole life, but he never forgot Dartmouth. He volunteered to interview prospective students for Dartmouth and faithfully attended reunions of his class, including the big 70th. A memorial service was held at the family plot in Farmingdale, New York.
