William D. Hinch ’86

William D. Hinch ’86 of Saint Louis, Missouri, died unexpectedly on March 9. Born and raised in Saint Louis, Bill attended Saint Louis Country Day School. At Dartmouth Bill earned his A.B. in psychology and was involved in Kappa Alpha Psi, Glee Club and Gospel Choir. He also participated in the French language study abroad program. After college Bill started his professional journey as a teacher in the Boston area, then pivoted to pursue a career in human resources. His employment included roles at Motorola in Illinois and New Mexico, General Mills in Ohio and Minnesota, and Hunter Engineering in Saint Louis. Bill was gregarious and generous, known for his quick wit and endless collection of funny stories and anecdotes. He is survived by his mother, Clarice; siblings Vickie, David, and Clarissa ’92; nephews Bryan, Victor, David, Ahmad, and Ahmon; and a host of great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Richard, and nephew James. A celebration of life ceremony was held on April 5.
