Lon M. Rosenfield ’70

Lon M. Rosenfield ’70 passed away on January 18 in Minneapolis. At Dartmouth Lon was a member of the Marching Band and Tabard/Sigma Chi. A lifelong resident of Minneapolis, Lon returned there—after earning a Ph.D. in medieval literature from Columbia in 1975—to assist in managing Drug Specialties, the family business. A member of Adath Jeshurun Synagogue, Lon was a lifelong learner and teacher of Jewish studies and biblical Hebrew. Humorous and loving, Lon in retirement was passionate about cooking and creating craft cocktails. He was predeceased by his first wife, Elaine. He is survived by brother Bruce ’73; wife Barbara; children Michelle, Philip, and Sari; and grandchildren Elliot, Milo, and Ari.
