David M. Millane ’67

David M. Millane ’67 passed away on May 11 with his wife of almost 48 years, Joanie, and dog Mia at his side. David came to the College from Westwood, Massachusetts, majored in geography, was a brother of Phi Delta Alpha, and active in the DOC and Navy ROTC. He was commissioned as an ensign upon graduation and served on a destroyer escort in the Pacific. David earned his M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business in 1979. His career included working for the General Services Administration and the National Archives & Records in Washington, D.C. In 2001 he and Joanie formed Millane Partners LLC to assist in creating public-private development partnerships for nonprofits, mainly colleges and universities. In addition to Joanie, David is survived by daughter Megan, son Matt (and his wife, Cynthia), and grandchildren Charlotte and Micah.
