Richard Whitmore Curtis ’67

Richard Whitmore Curtis ’67 died on December 2, 2024, after a long illness. Dick came to the College from Easthampton, Massachusetts, by way of Williston Academy. He majored in history, was a brother of Delta Kappa Epsilon, and competed as a defenseman on the lacrosse team. After graduation Dick completed graduate work at Georgetown before enlisting in the Army in 1969, attending language school and serving in Korea. After his service he moved to Colorado, working with the Civil Service Commission and National Park Service. In 1974 Dick married Donna Greenfield in Denver, and they spent time traveling and hiking in the national parks and visiting his sister, Barbara, and her husband, Ellis, on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. He and Donna moved there in 2002. He is survived by Donna and numerous cousins.
