Mark Joseph Domick ’74

Mark Joseph Domick ’74 peacefully passed away at his home in Albany, New York, on December 5, 2024. Mark grew up in Syracuse, New York, and graduated from Bishop Ludden High School, where he excelled in academics and several sports, primarily football. Mark graduated magna cum laude from Dartmouth and attended the Syracuse University School of Management. After graduation Mark worked as the lead systems programmer for Niagara Mohawk, senior systems engineer at EMC Corp. in Oregon, and with the N.Y. Department of Taxation and Finance, where he was awarded the 2011 NYS Tax Excellence Award. His true passion was experiencing the outdoors, and he spent much of his life skiing, mountain biking, and kayaking across the world with family and friends, notably at Skaneateles Lake in the New York Finger Lakes region; the Adirondacks; Belize, Mount St. Helens, Washington; and the Hudson River and Henderson Harbor in New York. Later in life, Mark spent many evenings and weekends cheering on his great-nieces and -nephews in various sports endeavors and fishing escapades. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him, including siblings Edward, Pamela, and Penny; sister-in-law Cheryl; nieces Kim and Jill; nephew Sean; and seven great-nieces and -nephews.
