Frank P. Raymond ’58

Frank P. Raymond ’58, who died on June 27, 2024, lived his life in Connecticut. After “Skip” graduated from Dartmouth in 1959, he served a tour of duty with the U.S. Army in Korea and then joined the family sail-making business in Norwalk, Connecticut, in the mid-1960s. Skip became president of Hathaway, Reiser & Raymond, which manufactured and serviced sails, masts, and rigging for sailboats 25 to 55 feet long. He and his wife, Joan, enjoyed competitive sailing and competitive platform tennis. He hosted the Dartmouth sailing team periodically and was thrilled when they were a close second in the Corinthians races in 1981 and won the event for the first time in 1982. Skip is survived by Joan, a daughter, and a son.
