James Joseph Beisman ’55

James Joseph Beisman ’55 passed away on October 1, 2024, in Fort Myers, Florida. He is survived by Sue, his wife of 70 years, and children James, Janis, Paul, and Tracey. Jim came to Dartmouth from James Burrough High School in Clayton, Missouri. He majored in economics and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Army ROTC. Jim served three years as an infantry first lieutenant in Germany before returning to St. Louis, Missouri, and starting a 34-year career with Union Electric/American Corp.. He also was a member of the board of directors for St. Joseph Hospital and the Arts and Education Council of Greater St. Louis.
